Prism Concert

The Prism Concert takes place on Wednesday, April 2, 2014 at 7:00pm in the Ferrini Dramatics Center at HWRHS.

The always-phenomenal Prism concert showcases individuals and small ensembles of students from the high school's band. The auditorium is darkened for a unique and dramatic setting, utilizing the entire space in the Ferrini Dramatics Center. The audience is requested not to clap, talk, or leave, making the production seamless - one performance begins as soon as one ends. The entire performance is about an hour. All are welcome.

Mass Music Educators Association

This Thursday, male singers from MRMS will take part in a very special opportunity! Our middle school boys were invited to participate in the MMEA (Mass Music Educators Association) convention at the World Trade Center in Boston to serve as a demo group of “real life middle schooler male singers”. This happens on Thursday, 3/20.  They will be the demo group for Henry Leck, a rather famous clinician/conductor of young voices, especially boys. The session will be attended by music educators from all around the state. Here’s the description of this session:

Thurs 9:10 AM, Waterfront 3
Choral
The Boy's Changing Voice
Clinician(s): Henry Leck, Indianapolis Children's Choir
One of the challenges for music educators is coping with and understanding the Male Adolescent Changing Voice. This session will review the historical role of the male voice, current trends in classifying young male voices, and approaches to aiding in the productive development of such. This process will be demonstrated with adolescent boys of many voice types.

Congratulations to Mrs. Frost and the selected Miles River singers!
